Wayland teen partners with SVT on Girl Scouts Gold Award project

Recent Wayland High School graduate Kristen Bestavros partnered with SVT to produce and install five picture posts on SVT conservation land that will help community members document environmental change in the area. The project was completed as part of Kristen's Girl Scouts Gold award, an honor given to fewer that 6% of Girl Scouts.

Each picture post has an eight-sided platform that directs users to take digital photos with a camera or smartphone and upload them to the Digital Earthwatch Network. Each picture post allows for detailed analysis of environmental change over time and is an ongoing way of engaging the community in conservation efforts.
