SVT Seeks Volunteer Property Monitor

SVT is seeking a volunteer to assist with the annual inspections of our 96 (and counting!) properties. Annual inspections are an important part of SVT's Stewardship work, as the information they provide helps us make management plans for our lands.

The Volunteer Property Monitor will visit at least one SVT property each month to monitor both the boundaries and the internal areas. The person will check the general property conditions and make notes about hazard trees, invasive insect damage, and possible encroachments or violations.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the outdoors, can walk up to several miles on uneven terrain, can bushwhack if needed, and is able to navigate in the field and off-trail with a phone locator app (free download) and map and compass.
