SVT Seeks Two AmeriCorps Members for 2022-2023


SVT has openings for two TerraCorps-AmeriCorps Members for the upcoming service year, which will run from August 29, 2022, to July 28, 2023.

These full-time, 11-month positions provide wonderful, hands-on experience for anyone interested in a career in land conservation. (Read about previous SVT AmeriCorps Members.)

Land Stewardship Coordinator (LSC): The LSC will work on a variety of land stewardship projects including increasing habitat for pollinators, accessible trails, general trail and property maintenance, and outreach and stewardship efforts with volunteers and community members. Read more and apply.

Community Education Coordinator (CEC): The CEC will assist SVT with a range of community engagement projects, including playing a vital supporting role in the work of SVT’s newly formed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee; increasing youth engagement; and piloting programs for reaching new audiences. The national AmeriCorps program engages thousands of Americans in service at nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country. TerraCorps is a Massachusetts-based organization that supports AmeriCorps Members who serve in land trusts and agricultural-based organizations across the state.

TerraCorps-AmeriCorps Members receive a living allowance of up to $18,500 (pre-tax) over the 11-month term and are eligible for a $6,495 education award upon successful completion of the term. TerraCorps also assists its members in obtaining health insurance, and childcare assistance may be provided in cases of financial need.
