SVT has officially opened the first phase of our accessible All Persons' Trail at Wolbach Farm!

During a ceremony on Thursday, July 24, state and local officials gathered with other community members, SVT supporters, and SVT staff to cut the grapevine ribbon on the trail and formally open it for public use and enjoyment.

As part of the festivities, State Senator Jamie Eldridge and State Representative Carmine Gentile both congratulated SVT for breaking down barriers to nature and noted that the trail complements the goals of the Commonwealth to increase accessibility. They also presented Davnet Conway, SVT Executive Director, with a special citation from the State Senate.

Sudbury Town Manager Andy Sheehan expressed appreciation for the trail and the opportunities it affords to area residents.

In her remarks to the gathering, Davnet reminded everyone that this is just Phase 1 of the project. The trail currently wends around the lawn and pollinator garden near our office building and features stops at a new Picnic Grove and Barn-View Terrace.

In 2026, we will extend the trail into the woods along the current George Lewis Memorial Trail, and we will create a new, condensed Storybook Path that fits entirely into the All Persons' Trail. In 2027, we plan to add a Nature Playscape and interpretive signage and improve the connection to our historic barn that sits across Wolbach Road from our office building.

We invite everyone to visit the All Persons' Trail and enjoy a picnic at the accessible tables in our Picnic Grove or simply pause to enjoy the view from the Barn-View Terrace.

Thank you to The Manton Foundation, the George and Marjorie Osborne Foundation, the Highland Partners Charitable Foundation, and The Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Wild and Scenic River Stewardship Council for your generous support of this project.
