Sustainability Group Supports SVT

Thanks to employees in the Sustainability Group at DuPont Co. in Marlborough, SVT recently received a $2,000 donation from the company. The employees nominated us for this donation in recognition of our efforts to protect natural areas in the region.

The group presented the check to Laura Mattei, SVT’s Director of Stewardship, at our Cedar Hill Reservation. Laura also led the group on a tour of the property and described our successful restoration of a habitat known as “early successional shrub habitat.” Birds such as eastern towhee and blue-winged warbler have benefitted from SVT’s work, as have several insect and butterfly species.
