Protecting More Land in the High Ridge

Since 2018, SVT has been working with partners in Harvard, Littleton, and Boxborough to protect ecologically rich lands in a region we call the High Ridge. These efforts have conserved Horse Meadows Knoll and Eastern Greenway-North in Harvard, Smith Conservation Land in Littleton and Harvard, and Elizabeth Brook Knoll in Boxborough, among others.

We are delighted that additional land in the High Ridge will soon be protected. On January 12, the Boxborough Planning Board approved the amendment and extension of the Open Space Commercial Development special permit for The Park at Beaver Brook on Beaver Brook Road. As part of the approved master plan for The Park, 94 acres of open space are to be protected.

SVT is now collaborating with the Town of Boxborough, Boxborough Conservation Trust, Harvard Conservation Trust, and the current landowner (Campanelli-Trigate LLC), on the next steps for the land's permanent protection. We’ll share details as the project evolves.
