Pollinator Palooza a Rousing Success

It was another grand time for SVT, when 250 members and friends gathered for our “Pollinator Palooza” Annual Benefit Gala on March 7 at the Sheraton in Framingham. Our guests, many of whom were bedecked as birds, butterflies, or bees, generously supported regional conservation and the effort to protect habitat for native pollinators. Thank you.

David O'Leary of Magic 106.7 once again served as official auctioneer for the evening. Elizabeth Roy took home the best costume prize for dressing as a seed packet--the perfect response to a region faced with declining pollinator habitats!

Thank you to the businesses and individuals who donated items to the auction; to Margaret Estes, Ellie Johnson, Sue Kurys, Joan Pinkul, and other volunteers for planning the event and soliciting auction items; and to Village Bank for its sponsorship.

Thanks also to Nele Kaps for designing the invitations, to Pat O'Brien for managing the "photo booth," and to Dany Pelletier for serving as a roving photographer during the evening.
