Please Leash Your Dog on Sudbury Trails
Our colleagues in the municipal offices of the Town of Sudbury inform us that they are stepping up enforcement of the local Leash Law on their conservation lands and recreational trails. The Town has also launched a public awareness campaign so visitors to local trails are aware of this new enforcement.
Both people and dogs benefit from spending time in nature, and SVT welcomes visitors to walk their dogs on our trails. Now that the Town is now enforcing the leash bylaw, we are requiring that all dogs be leashed on SVT properties in Sudbury. This simple action will help to protect wildlife, habitats, and the visitor experience.
SVT properties in Sudbury include:
- Brues Woods
- Gray Conservation Area
- Lyons-Cutler
- Memorial Forest
- Nobscot Scout Reservation
- Round Hill
- Wayside Inn
- Wolbach Farm
Please comply with this new requirement while you enjoy our trails with your dog. You can find maps for SVT trails on our Trail Maps page.
An article on the Town of Sudbury website explains the importance of leashing dogs while on conservation lands, and how this simple step helps to protect wildlife, their habitats, and the health of the land itself.
Thank you for leashing your dog!
