Oechsle Land: SVT’s Newest Reservation
An 8.9-acre tract in Sudbury is a testimony to one family's multigenerational commitment to conservation.
In 2008, Walter and Christa Oechsle permanently protected the property by donating a conservation restriction (CR) on the land to SVT. The land sits adjacent to the King Philip Woods property, across the street from our Wolbach Farm.
The Oechsles have since passed away, but their children were inspired by their legacy and recently donated the entire property to SVT! The Sudbury Conservation Commission will hold the CR over the land, and together we will ensure the space remains a refuge for wildlife and people.
Thank you to the entire Oechsle family for your generosity.
SVT also thanks the Family of George and Doris Meyers for its financial support of this project.
