Walker Fryling, an Eagle Scout candidate from Sudbury, worked with SVT on his leadership project and built a new boardwalk for our General Federation of Women's Clubs of Massachusetts Memorial Forest in Sudbury.
Walker's 128-foot boardwalk, in the floodplain of Hop Brook near SVT's Dutton Road trailhead, is a higher, wider, and longer structure that will help protect vegetation along the trail and the brook. It also gives visitors an improved walking surface.
Walker worked with volunteers to install the boardwalk in August. Special thanks to Ken Vona of KVC Builders and to Sudbury Lumber for their donation of lumber to the project.
Thank you, Walker!
