Trails Closing Again at Memorial Forest

Eversource has notified us that the trail connection across the old rail line in the Desert Natural Area will close as of August 1.

This closure is necessary because of Eversource's two-year project to construct an electric transmission line along the abandoned rail line in this conservation area that straddles parts of Marlborough, Hudson, and Sudbury. SVT's Memorial Forest is one of the conservation lands in the Desert.

The trail closure is expected to last until April 2024, at which time the project should be complete.

We advise visitors to check out the trail map ahead of time to plan your visit. SVT and the other landowners in the Desert Natural Area are posting notices about the trail closures at our trailheads.
