SVT Invites Comments About Accreditation Renewal

SVT is applying to renew our accreditation through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission (LTAC), which is an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance. This national program recognizes land conservation organizations that meet national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands forever.

SVT was first accredited in 2013 and must renew our accreditation every five years. Being accredited is a sign that we follow the highest ethical and technical standards in our land, stewardship, and fundraising activities.

During the renewal process, the LTAC conducts an extensive review of our policies and programs, and it invites public input on how well we comply with national quality standards. The public comment period on SVT's application is now open. Comments will be most useful by May 27.
