SVT Breaks Ground on All Persons' Trail
Exciting News! SVT is installing an All Person's Trail at Wolbach Farm. This is our first-ever All Persons' Trail on an SVT property. When the trail is complete, people who rely on wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers will find it easier to tour and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
On April 28, we broke ground on Phase 1. In this phase, we are adding an ADA-accessible trail and new picnic areas to our lawn. We expect the work to be done in a few weeks, and we anticipate holding a ribbon cutting in July.
The George Lewis Trail and the Storybook Trail remain open during Phase 1. Please use caution getting to the trailhead, and watch your step in the grounds surrounding the office. The best approach will be to use the main office walkway to enter and exit the trailhead at the kiosk near the entrance of the Founders Garden.
In Phase 2, which will start in the fall, we will create a new All Persons’ surface on part of the Lewis Trail so more visitors can follow the path into the woods and experience the solace of nature.
