Birds at the Desert Natural Area

Laura Mattei heard these birds at the Desert Natural Area in Sudbury and Marlborough, including SVT's General Federation of Women's Clubs of Massachusetts Memorial Forest: ovenbird (many), eastern towhee (many), hermit thrush, scarlet tanager (at least two), pine warbler, blue jay and common yellowthroat.

SVT property steward Don Chauls reports the following birds at Lyons-Cutler during his visit to the property:
pine warbler, golden-crowned kinglet, hermit thrush, red-winged blackbird, song sparrow, green-winged teal, ring-necked duck, tree swallow; 14 great blue herons on 15 nests.
