Gray Catbird Nest in Berlin

Julie Pratt gives an update on the gray catbird nest she has been watching in Berlin: "Catbird nest empty today. But did hear parents making noise further away from the nest. And witnessed them carrying bugs and worms into the hemlocks, which are not too far from the nest. Disappointed that they are not as close as they used to be, but hope the chicks are okay."

Julie Pratt reports that the gray catbird chicks "are getting bigger and bigger, now both chirp a little when the parents come to feed them. I can't believe they even fit in the nest anymore. Suspect they will be fledging soon."  Her husband Mark Pratt photographed the chicks in their nest.

Catbird chicks are growing so fast! More feathers, especially on wings. Constantly being fed by parents. Eyes open, except when they are sleeping, which is when I usually take their photos!
