Todd Boli shares these images and an update from an American robin nest under his deck in Framingham.
"All four chicks left the nest between the afternoon of June 5 and morning of June 6. Both parents continued to feed the fledglings as they spread out from the nest and began, clumsily at first, to fly. Two days ago we saw the female laying more eggs, although this time only in the nest that had the four previous chicks"

On May 9th, Todd Boli shared a series of photos of American robin nests at his Framingham home. Todd now shares an update and images of the nestlings in one of the nests. "On May 24, the eggs began hatching in the nest that ended up having five eggs. It ultimately yielded four chicks. The eggs in the two-egg nest remain unhatched, even though the female robin went back to sit on them as late as yesterday. For all their apparent confusion, the persistent robins now have their brood."

Todd Boli describes nest building efforts of a pair of American robins beneath his deck in Framingham. He says that in years past "they typically build what seems to be a series of trial nests between the joists of our deck. This year they built eight of them and then cannibalized two to add to the remaining six. They finished two of the nests, laid two eggs in each of them, and sat now on one, now on the other, until they finally laid another two eggs in the one they settled on."
