SVT Seeks Land Protection Specialist

SVT has an opening for a Land Protection Specialist (LPS) based out of our headquarters in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Reporting to the Director of Land Protection, the LPS will play a key role in our effort to accelerate the pace of land conservation in our 36-community region.

Responsibilities include researching properties for protection, cultivating relationships with landowners and conservation partners, negotiating land conservation transactions, managing the logistics of multi-party real estate transactions, and participating in project fundraising. Desired qualities include creativity, curiosity, collaborative spirit, desire to work with and engage non-traditional partners, and willingness to apply and test new, innovative approaches.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience in land conservation, planning, or community organizing. A graduate degree in natural resource management, planning, or a related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
