Lyons-Cutler Boardwalk Gains Grant Support

The trail at SVT's Lyons-Cutler property in Sudbury will soon sport a new boardwalk, thanks to a $10,000 grant from The Public Lands Fund, a program of Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation.

Lyons-Cutler is a 95-acre natural area that is adjacent to the Town of Sudbury's Landham Brook Marsh Land on Landham Road. The trails encircle a small forest and run alongside two brooks that frequently offer views of a heron rookery in late May.

The Sudbury Conservation Commission has given the go-ahead for the boardwalk, which will cross some wetlands at the property. SVT staff and volunteers will commence work on the boardwalk this spring with plans to finish the installation by mid-summer.
