Fighting Invasives at Gowing's Swamp
At Gowing's Swamp in Concord, SVT volunteers have been fighting invasives for the past three years! Their efforts are paying off, as we have seen an abundance of native plants returning to this natural area that supports a unique bog, vernal pools, and other wetlands.
On October 10, volunteers like Ruth Ladd (pictured) were hard at work once again, as they clipped and remove glossy buckthorn during an SVT Invasives Pull Workday.
Want to help fight invasives? We have several other Invasives Pulls planned for Littleton and Sudbury in the coming weeks. Check our Program Calendar for details.
