Winter Wildlife Tracking
Join tracker-naturalist David Brown to learn to look for the tracks, trails and signs of mammals and birds found in New England during the winter season. (With or without snow.) Many charismatic species are covered including bears, bobcats, foxes and coyotes. This two-part program will use a slide presentation and castings to introduce some of the basics of track and sign identification. After the presentation, the group will head out onto the trails to look for wildlife evidence and practice ID skills. Dress for about two hours in the woods with warm clothes and snow-proof boots. This program is suitable for reasonably fit adults and teens.
