Thanks to your generosity, SVT raised much-needed funds for our conservation efforts. With your support, we will protect more priority natural areas, restore essential wildlife habitats, create accessible trails, and schedule an array of fun programs. 

The evening included:

Speakers

Lindsey Ketchel, Amara Ifeji, and Darryl C. Murphy

Lindsey Ketchel

Lindsey Ketchel joined SVT as our Executive Director in July 2023. She has more than 25 years of experience in land conservation, environmental advocacy, sustainable agriculture, and climate resiliency.

Lindsey previously served as Executive Director of the Landmark Conservancy Land Trust in Northwest Wisconsin, the Leech Lake Area Watershed Foundation in Minnesota and the Southeast Alaska Conservation Council.
 

Amara Ifeji

Amara Ifeji is an internationally awarded nonprofit leader in climate and environmental justice. As the Director of Policy with the Maine Environmental Education Association, Amara leverages grassroots advocacy to advance state and federal policy solutions. She served as the lead coordinator for Maine's first Climate Education Summit, mobilized a youth-led movement that spearheaded Maine's $2+ million climate education program, and serves on the Maine Climate Council as the Youth Representative.

Amara is also a National Geographic Explorer and Brower Youth Awardee. She is pursuing a Political Science degree at Northeastern University and was recognized as a 2023 Truman and Udall Scholar for her public service leadership.
 

Darryl C. Murphy 

Darryl C. Murphy hosts WBUR's news and culture podcast "The Common." As host, Darryl brings vital information to the diverse communities in the Boston area through engaging discussions with some of the region's best journalists and experts. Prior to taking the host chair, he was a newsroom reporter covering transportation and business.

As a Corporate Sponsor of SVT's 70th Anniversary Emerald Forest Benefit Gala your brand will be connected to a nationally accredited land trust and promoted to our over 3,000 members and 300 volunteers. Corporate sponsors will receive recognition through our social media channels and newsletters that reach close to 5,000 subscribers.
